Project LaunchThe OPT-in project was launched at The Open University in October 2009.At the project launch, the partners visited the Open University's Jenny Lee Ambient Research Labs and took part in hands-on sessions with a range of new and experimental technologies, courtesy of the Centre For Research in Computing, the ShareIT project, the Music Computing Lab, the E-Sense Project and other OU research projects. The partners also visited the Open University's Digi Lab to explore a variety of cutting-edge commercially-available technologies in a relaxed, creative environment. As OPT-in is part of a life long learning initiative, which emphasises learning about each other's cultures and traditions, the partners took part in a Medieval Banquet and play in Hanslope Village (just outside of Milton Keynes).
